TOWNSHIP OF LOWER MERION ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1. Notice is provided by the Township Secretary that sealed proposals will be received by the Township of Lower Merion for the following: General Wayne Park Playground Improvements Contract Number: 26-09-4492 Single Prime Contract: General Construction 2. Sealed proposals shall be submitted online via the Pennbid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com). 3. Proposals will be received until 11 am, prevailing time, Thursday, April 23, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. 4. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty as specified in the Instructions to Bidders section of the Bid Document. 5. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of 100% are required. Also, a Maintenance Bond in the amount of 25% is required. 6. Bidders may obtain electronic copies of drawings and specifications of this project, at no cost, on the PennBid website noted above. 7. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held by the Park Comfort Station at 305 Maplewood Avenue, Merion Station PA 19066 on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at 9 am, for all interested Bidders. Scope of Work The Township of Lower Merion is accepting bids for the site improvements, consisting of, but not limited to: selective demolition; erosion and sediment control measures; temporary tree and site protection; construction of paths, sidewalks, and edgings; preparation of playground area; stormwater system improvements; and site restoration. Award is planned for May 20, 2026. The Construction Notice to Proceed is planned for July 2026 (pending contract execution) with start of onsite construction activities for early September 2026 after the park summer programs have concluded. A separate contract will be awarded for the playground equipment. 9. Detailed specifications developed by Pennoni Associates, Inc. Questions regarding the project scope shall be submitted via the “Messages” feature in PennBid. The last day for receipt of written questions is end of business day of Friday, April 10, 2026. 10.
