TO THE RESIDENTS OF BERN TOWNSHIP, BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 7:00 p.m., the Zoning Hearing Board of Bern Township will hold a public hearing at the Bern Township Municipal Building, 1069 Old Bernville Road, Reading, PA 19605, Berks County, Pennsylvania to consider the Application or Appeal of Elaine Paul-Schaefer and the Schuylkill River Greenway Association, for a variance from Sections 184-151(D) (concerning minimum lot size of five (5) acres) and, as necessary, Section 184-116 (making campgrounds a conditional use) and Section 184-152 (concerning design standards, screening, and storage) of the Zoning Ordinance to build a primitive, group campsite for water trail users at the intersection of Stoudts Lane and Rickenbach Road in the Township’s IR-Institutional Recreational Zoning District. A copy of the Application is available for public inspection and copying at the Bern Township Municipal Building. All parties may attend said hearing and participate.
