SPECIAL MEETING AND ORDINANCE NOTICE TO THE RESIDENTS OF BERNVILLE BOROUGH The Borough Council of the Borough of Bernville, Berks County, Pennsylvania will hold a special meeting on Monday June 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Umbenhauer Park Pavillion located at 101 Umbenhauer Drive in Bernville, Berks County Pennsylvania, to consider the enactment of the Ordinance summarized below and any other business that may come before it. The complete title and summary of the proposed Ordinance are as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF BERNVILLE, BERKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, DISBANDING AND ABOLISHING THE BOROUGH OF BERNVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 248, AS AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 294 Section 1 disbands, dissolves, abolishes, terminates and ends the Borough of Bernville Police Department. Section 2 repeals Ordinance No. 248, enacted June 3, 1997, as amended by Ordinance No. 294, enacted May 4, 2004. Section 3 provides for the administration, maintenance, transfer or disposition of Borough of Bernville Police Department property, equipment, records, files and assets. Section 4 is the repealer provision. Section 5 provides that the provisions of this Ordinance are severable. Section 6 provides for the effective date.
