SEALED PROPOSALS will be received in the Offices of the Redevelopment Authority of the County of Berks, 400 East Wyomissing Avenue, Ground Floor – Suite 2, Mohnton, PA 19540 until 2:00 P.M. Prevailing Time, Thursday, May 7, 2026 and will be publicly opened and read in the Authority Offices at 2:15 P.M. Prevailing Time, Thursday, May 7, 2026 for the construction of a street in Hamburg, PA. Please note there will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting at 2:00 P.M. on April 15, 2026 at the site of the proposed street improvements. No bid will be accepted unless a representative of the bidder is present at the mandatory pre-bid meeting. Plans and specifications may be secured by applying to the Redevelopment Authority, 400 East Wyomissing Avenue, Ground Floor – Suite 2, Mohnton, PA 19540. Phone 610-478-6325. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount not less than 10% of the total amount of bid. No bidder may withdraw his/her proposal for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of submission. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project (Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act), and that employees and applicants for employment shall not be discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids without explanation and/or waive any informality in any bid received when such waiver is in the best interest of the Authority.
