PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Amity Township Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., at the Amity Township Municipal Office, 2004 Weavertown Road, Douglassville, Berks County, Pennsylvania 19518, for the purpose of accepting public comment and considering the proposed St. Lawrence Borough, Exeter Township, Amity Township and Douglass Township (“SEAD”) Joint Comprehensive Plan (the “Comprehensive Plan”). The Board of Supervisors will consider approving the Comprehensive Plan at its meeting following the public hearing. The Comprehensive Plan represents a shared commitment to responsibly guide future growth, preservation and conservation for the region consisting of St. Lawrence Borough, Amity Township, Douglass Township and Exeter Township. The Comprehensive Plan is not by itself a regulation but is intended to provide the policy direction for changes to the municipalities’ development and land use regulations. The Comprehensive Plan includes the following elements: Introduction and Demographics, Historical Background, Natural Features, Transportation Plan, Community Facilities, Services, and Energy Conservation, Housing and Economic Development, Future Land Use Plan, SEAD Commercial Corridor, and Goals Action Plan. A copy of the proposed Comprehensive Plan may be examined without charge or obtained for a charge not greater than the cost thereof at the Amity Township Municipal Office, 2004 Weavertown Road, Douglassville, Pennsylvania 19518, during normal business hours.
