NOTICE TO BIDDERS SEALED PROPOSALS will be accepted by Schuylkill Haven Borough Council and Cressona Borough Council until 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2026, at the Schuylkill Haven Borough Municipal Building, 333 Center Avenue, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 for the following: “2026 Multi-Municipal Street Paving” on Schuylkill Street in the Borough of Schuylkill Haven and in the Borough of Cressona, Schuylkill County as follows: 1,096 SY of Petro Mat or Equivalent 50 Tons Bituminous Leveling Course using 9.5mm at 90 lb/sy 138 Tons Bituminous Wearing Course using 9.5mm at 1 ½” Depth 411 LF of 4” Double Yellow Center Line with Glass Beads All materials must meet PennDOT Publication 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders for the 2026 Multi-Municipal Street Paving Bid Proposal must be PennDOT prequalified and must supply proof of prequalification. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Municipalities. Proposal forms, specifications and bid information can be obtained at the Schuylkill Haven Borough Municipal Building, 333 Center Avenue, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 or by calling Kaitlyn Tinari, Schuylkill Haven Borough Secretary at 570-385-2841, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Completed bids for the 2026 Multi-Municipal Street Paving Bid Proposal can be mailed to Kaitlyn Tinari at the Schuylkill Haven Borough Municipal Building, 333 Center Avenue, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972. If bids are to be hand delivered, bidders need to call Kaitlyn Tinari at 570-385-2841 prior to delivery to make arrangement. A MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday March 23, 2026, the Schuylkill Haven Borough Municipal Building, 333 Center Avenue, Schuylkill Haven, PA 17972 all interested bidders MUST attend. For further information contact Kaitlyn Tinari, Schuylkill Haven Borough Secretary at 570-385-2841, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid. For the 2026 Multi-Municipal Street Paving Bid Proposal this check or bid bond will be made payable to Schuylkill Haven Borough. Each Municipality will be responsible for awarding their respective portion of the contract. The successful bidder for the 2026 Multi-Municipal Street Paving Bid Proposal will be required to provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the total of the individual Municipality’s awarded contract amounts within 20 days of the award of the contract. These Bonds will be made payable to either Schuylkill Haven Borough or Cressona Borough in the amount of each Municipality’s respective portion of the awarded bid. All bids will be opened and read publicly at approximately 2:00 p.m. on March 27, 2026, at the Schuylkill Haven Borough Office and pending review presented to the Schuylkill Haven Borough Council for action at their regularly scheduled Council Meeting on April 1, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as their agenda allows. Bids will also be provided to Cressona Borough Council for review and award at their respective meeting on April 20, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as their agenda allows. Each individual municipality will issue their own notice of award. Schuylkill Haven Borough Council and Cressona Borough Council reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Municipalities.
