NOTICE TO BIDDERS POOL RENOVATIONS The Borough of Hamburg Borough Council will accept sealed Proposals, in triplicate, for the Pool Renovations. The project includes renovation of the surfaces of the pool walls and floor, including replacement of all coping units and tile, the repair of cracks and loose areas of the plaster surface and replacing drain covers. Pre-Bid Meeting and project walk through will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 at 10:00 am at the pool site. Proposals will be received by the Borough Secretary at the Borough Building, 61 N. 3rd Street, Hamburg, PA 19526 by 10:00 AM on May 20, 2026. Immediately following, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. A ten percent (10%) bid security must accompany each sealed proposal. All submission of bids must be on the bid forms provided with the contract specifications. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. A Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance must also be provided, as specified in the bid documents. These items shall be provided within ten (10) days of the Notice of Award date. Notice is given that the Work is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provisions of said act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the Borough Engineer, Great Valley Consultants, 75 Commerce Drive, Wyomissing, PA at a non-refundable fee of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each set of documents. The Borough of Hamburg reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all Bidders, to reject any and all Bids or portions thereof, to delete projects and/or portions of projects based upon budget constraints, and to accept any Bid which is deemed most favorable to the BOROUGH OF HAMBURG, at the time and under the circumstances stipulated. The Borough also reserves its right, at its sole discretion, to waive any informality in the Bid, and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any Bid.
