NOTICE OF ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT ADOPTION. The Board of Supervisors of Elk Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of presenting to the public and receiving public comment on an amendment to the Elk Township Zoning Ordinance concerning solar controls and if approved, will adopt at the regularly scheduled meeting held at 7:00 p.m. in the Township building located at 952 Chesterville Road, Lincoln University, Pennsylvania. A summary of the Ordinance follows: ARTICLE I DEFINITIONS. Section 200 includes definitions for solar energy systems, enterprise accessory uses and principal or commercial use; ARTICLES II, III, V, VI, VII establish accessory uses under Sections 401, 501, 701, 801 and 901; ARTICLES IV and VIII establish regulations in the R-2 and C-2 Zones under Sections 601 and 1001; and ARTICLE IX provides supplemental regulations for solar use; ARTICLE X Severability; and XI Repealer. A copy of this Ordinance in full is available at the Elk Township Municipal Building for review by the public at no cost and copies may be secured at a cost no greater than that of the Township’s cost.
