NOTICE OF BID Township of Lawrence County of Mercer Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received and publicly opened and read at the Lawrence Township Municipal Building, Lower Conference Room, 2207 Lawrence Road, Lawrence Township NJ 08648 at 10:30 a.m. prevailing time on June 3, 2026 for the project known as Bid 26-03: 2026 Residential Concrete Sidewalk Improvement Program. The bid shall provide for the removal and replacement of 860 SY (50 SY IWD) concrete sidewalk in various locations throughout the Township. Work also includes removal and replacement of curb (50 LF) at Bergen Street and along Skillman Avenue (200 LF), installation of a new 4’ wide concrete sidewalk from Cold Soil Road to Branchwood Court, installation of a new 5’ wide sidewalk from Allen Lane to Lawrence Toyota along southbound Brunswick Pike, replacement of curb ramps and installation of detectable warning surfaces in several neighborhoods. Work also includes removal and replacement of trench drains and concrete apron in the Public Works Building at 240 Bakers Basin Road (owned by the Township) and other miscellaneous items as provided in the bid documents. It is anticipated that a construction contract will be awarded on June 16, 2026, subject to the availability of funds in the 2026 Adopted Budget and 2026 Capital Plan. Construction shall commence on or about July 6, 2026. The completion of the project shall be thirty (30) working days from the date of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. All work must be completed by August 14, 2026. Signed bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Engineering Department with the name of the project printed on the face of the envelope. Bids must be made on the proposal forms included with the bid specifications. Bidders must comply with the regulations of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 - 1 et seq.
