CHADDS FORD TOWNSHIP DELAWARE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed bids will be received electronically through PennBidTM by Chadds Ford Township for the 2026 Road Program, until 11:00 AM, prevailing time, on the 8th day of June 2026 at which time they will be publicly read at the Chadds Ford Township Building, 10 Ring Road, Chadds Ford PA 19317. All documents and solicitation details are available online anytime at no cost at PennBidTM (www.pennbid.bonfirehub.com). The successful bidder who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay “PennBID” a fee of 1/3% or a minimum $150 of the contract award value. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. Performance and Payment bonds or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. This project involves milling, superpave wearing course, superpave base repair, speed hump installation, asphalt leveling, pavement markings, and appurtenant work. This project is subject to prevailing wage rates in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. Prospective bidders must be pre-qualified with PENNDOT in accordance with Section 102.01 of PENNDOT Publication 408 – Specifications, latest edition thereof. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owners reserve the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids.
