ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS School District of Haverford Township Chatham Park Elementary Solar Array Project NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the School District of Haverford Township will receive sealed bids for the construction of a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) System at Chatham Park Elementary School, located at 400 Allston Road, Havertown, PA 19083. Bids will be accepted at the Administrative Offices of the School District of Haverford Township, 50 East Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083, until 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Bids in sealed envelopes bearing the name of the Bidder and must be addressed to: Anthony Testa, Business Manager and clearly marked on the envelope “Chatham Park Elementary Solar Array Project” Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. Bids received after the above-referenced date and time shall be returned to the Bidder unopened PROJECT DESCRIPTION The project consists of the design and construction of a 400 kW ballasted rooftop solar photovoltaic system. Bids will be received under a Prime Contract for Electrical Construction. OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS Starting Friday, November 7, 2025, interested bidders may obtain electronic (.pdf) bid documents by submitting a written request to: Ken Matthews, Owner’s Representative Email: KMatthews@cbdsi.com Your request must include the following information: - Company name and mailing address - Name of bidder’s representative - Telephone and fax numbers - Email address (for electronic document delivery) - Contract number requested QUESTIONS All questions regarding bidding or contract documents shall be submitted in writing to Ken Matthews at KMatthews@cbdsi.com. Questions must be submitted no later than five (5) business days before the bid due date. All addenda will be issued directly to plan holders. BID SECURITY AND BONDS Each bid must include a Bid Bond equal to 10% of the total bid amount, including all alternates, as described in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder shall furnish: - A Performance Bond for 100% of the contract amount - A Payment Bond for 100% of the contract amount Both bonds must be issued by a corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. BID WITHDRAWAL Bids may not be withdrawn, modified, or canceled for 60 calendar days after opening, except as allowed under the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Procurement Code. If award of the Contract is delayed due to agency approvals, bond sales, or grant funding, bids may be held for up to 120 days. OWNER’S RIGHTS The School District of Haverford Township reserves the right to: - Reject any or all bids - Waive informalities or irregularities - Accept any combination of alternates, or none, in the best interest of the District PRE-BID CONFERENCE A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 9:00 AM, at Chatham Park Elementary School, 400 Allston Road, Havertown, PA 19083. Attendance is strongly encouraged. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS This project is subject to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry’s Prevailing Wage Determination.
