PUBLIC NOTICE Notice is hereby given that the governing body of Upper Uwchlan Township, County of Chester, Pennsylvania, at its regular meeting to be held on November 17th, 2025 at 7PM at 140 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs, PA, intends to consider for adoption an ordinance establishing a Local Services Tax (LST) for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2026.The ordinance is being adopted under the authority of Act 511, the Local Tax Enabling Act and Act 1 of Special Session 2006. Details of the proposed tax: • Purpose: The revenue from this tax will be used for emergency services and road construction and maintenance • Rate: The LST will be levied at a rate of $52.00 per calendar year on every individual who is employed within Upper Uwchlan Township. • Estimated Revenue: The estimated amount of revenue to be derived from the tax is $200,000. • Exemption: An exemption may be available for any person whose earned income and net profits from all sources within the municipality are less than $12,000. • Collection: The tax will be collected on a pro-rata basis by employers through payroll deductions. The full text of the proposed ordinance may be examined at the Upper Uwchlan Township Building, 140 Pottstown Pike, Chester Springs, PA, during regular business hours, Monday through Thursday from 7:30AM to 5:00PM or Friday from 7:30AM to 1PM.
